October 2025
For our October Phoenix event, the projectUmbrella team came together to distribute 150 care packages and share fresh pizza from our friends at Rihana’s Pizza with our unhoused neighbors. The afternoon was filled with smiles, stories, and heartfelt reminders of how powerful small acts of connection can be.
We’re especially grateful to AZ Dental Club for once again donating dental hygiene kits—complete with toothpaste, toothbrushes, and floss—and to our newest volunteers Chuck, Eileen, JoVi, and Stephanie for joining the team and helping make the day possible.
Each distribution reinforces a simple truth: compassion is contagious. We’re deeply thankful to every sponsor, donor, and volunteer who continues to make these moments of dignity and care possible.
Together, we’re building a community rooted in empathy, understanding, and hope.

A September of Service and Stories!
September 2025
This September, the projectUmbrella Phoenix team distributed 150 care packages—each containing hygiene items and daily essentials—alongside resource cards and warm chicken fried rice, generously provided by our friends at Kyoto Scottsdale. The afternoon was filled with meaningful moments: meals shared, stories exchanged, and reminders of the dignity and connection at the heart of our mission.
We’re especially thankful for our newest volunteers—Dan and Colt from Precision Medical, Mason, Nick, Winston, and Dalia—who generously donated their time and compassion to make this day of service possible. Dalia also coordinated a donation of dental hygiene kits through her office, AZ Dental Club, further extending the day's impact.
As always, we are humbled to serve alongside such incredible people and are inspired by the resilience and strength of those we meet. Each distribution reminds us that presence matters, stories matter, and that every act of care moves us closer to a more compassionate future.

This August, the projectUmbrella Phoenix team distributed 140 care packages—each filled with hygiene items and daily essentials—while also sharing hot pizza generously provided by our friends at Rihana’s Pizza & Wings. The afternoon was filled with simple yet powerful moments: meals shared, stories exchanged, and reminders of the community we’re building together.
We’re especially thankful for our newest volunteers—Jeff and Diane Starkweather and Justin Sheppard—whose open hearts and dedication helped make this day of service so meaningful.

To-go containers were graciously provided by Erik Yee at Kyoto in Scottsdale, helping us serve our unhoused neighbors across the Phoenix metro area with dignity and care. So Much To Be Thankful For!

For our Thanksgiving launch event, the ProjectUmbrella Phoenix team was humbled to distribute 40 seasonal care packages and warm Thanksgiving meals to our houseless neighbors in the Phoenix metro area. This significant event marked our first event post-expansion, allowing us to connect with extraordinary individuals and hear their inspiring stories of resilience and strength.
We are deeply grateful to our new Phoenix team members and to our generous sponsors for their unwavering support of our mission.
