Jimmy (middle)—who goes by “Goose”—is originally from Amarillo. After his mother passed away, he made the move to Austin, hoping for a fresh start.
But it wasn’t just geography that changed. Goose started living with a new sense of purpose. “I don’t care about money,” he told us. “I care that people love each other.”
His voice cracked a little when he said it. Not out of weakness, but because of how deeply he believes in what the world could be. “We have so much love,” he said. “We’ve got to share it.”
Standing beside him was Frank (right)—born and raised right here in Austin. He met Goose only about a week ago. But you’d never guess it b
y the way they talk, laugh, and lean on each other.
“It’s always good to have a friend in times like these,” Frank told us. Sometimes, friendship doesn’t need years to form—it just needs kindness.
Goose and Frank’s story is about more than circumstance. It’s about humanity, love, and what happens when people show up for each other.
At projectUmbrella, we believe those moments are worth everything.
