Jonathan is originally from Omaha, Nebraska, and spent time working as a janitor in Shoreline before losing his job and eventually finding himself without stable housing. What followed was not just a shift in circumstance, but a shift in perspective.

After experiencing life on the streets firsthand, Jonathan shared how his outlook transformed from judgment to empathy. He spoke about how difficult it can be to access resources like unemployment and financial assistance without a permanent address, highlighting the structural barriers many face when trying to rebuild.

Six months ago, Jonathan lost his mother — a moment that deeply impacted him. Since then, he has been moving from place to place, navigating instability while continuing to push forward.

Despite everything, Jonathan remains focused on getting back on his feet. His story is a reminder that behind every situation is a deeper story, and that understanding often begins with simply taking the time to listen.
