During our recent Phoenix distribution, we met Victor — a man whose honesty, humor, and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on our team.
Originally from San Antonio, Victor shared that his strong faith was shaped by an influential pastor he had growing up. That early guidance continues to ground him today, reminding him to lead with kindness and respect toward everyone he meets. “People need to stop being a**holes,” he told us bluntly, a line that made us laugh but also lingered with truth.
At one point in the conversation, Victor pointed at each of us and said, “We’re all the same.” In that moment, his words carried more weight than he may have realized — a reminder that compassion begins with recognizing our shared humanity.
Outside of his reflections on life and faith, Victor spoke with enthusiasm about shoes, proudly declaring his loyalty to Nike over Adidas — “checks over stripes,” he said with a grin. His lighthearted spirit and firm handshake reminded us that dignity and personality thrive even amid hardship.
Encounters like Victor’s remind us why we do what we do — to listen, connect, and uplift through presence and shared respect.
